Work shop 4: Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July

Kia Ora koutou,

We are looking forward to seeing you all.

Both workshops will be held in T305.

We will do a quick review of your learnings to date before adding further knowledge and skills to your ketes.

Part two of the certificate is about shaping your supervisor development portfolio that will include your supervision philosophy, vision and consideration of technical and process aspects, as you build towards the final supervision practice critique (Assessment 3).

Please take some time to read the chapter on Moodle from Hawkins, P., & Shohet, R. (2006). A process model of supervision. In, Supervision in the helping professions (3rd ed.), pg. 80 - 103. Open University Press. We will be taking a look at the seven-eyed supervision model on Thursday and concentrating on the restorative / supportive function of supervision on Friday.

Bring along your laptops or devices on Thursday to have access to Moodle Resources.

We will also discuss contracting and disclosure statements in preparation for assignment one. The following site may help with understanding disclosure statements (Letters of Introduction) if you are unfamiliar with what they are:  http://www.allthingsprivatepractice.com/professional-disclosure-statements-for-mental-health-professionals/

Most importantly you will have assignment 3 (PPS802) marks early next week.
