      Nau mai heare mai / Talitali fiefia / Welcome to this postgraduate certificate in professional supervision, I will be your tutor for the year.

      My background is in social work, and social service supervision.

      I completed the post graduate diploma in social service supervision through Massey University in 2016, which has enabled me to provide internal organisational, private and group supervision in the Nelson/Marlborough area. In 2021 I completed a master’s thesis that kept me academically engaged in supervision for 2 years. It would be fair to say that my passion for supervision in essence re-charges my professional battery in whatever capacity I get involved in.

      I look forward to rowing the waka with you, as you embark on this exciting professional supervision journey.

      Kia ora, my name is Ange McLean and I’ll be working alongside Lynn. I trained initially as a physiotherapist, have post-graduate qualifications in Adult Learning and Teaching, and have been teaching in the tertiary sector since 1999. I completed a PhD in which I looked at how tertiary students understand and reflect on feedback. In my role I’ll be co-facilitating, using a ‘naïve enquirer’ stance to help build skills in unpacking and understanding practice. A favourite whakatauki for me is tukuna kia rere – take flight and soar. I’m looking forward to being in the workshops with you.
