Te Tiriti o Waitangi ki Te Tauihu

This short course is about increasing your understanding and awareness of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and The Treaty of Waitangi within the regional context of Te Tauihu o te waka a Māui (Top of the South Island of New Zealand). Giving you more confidence in engaging with Te Tauihu Iwi in your workplace.

By the end of the course you will be able to do these three things:

1. Discuss the key principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and The Treaty of Waitangi and how they relate to Te Tauihu
2. Explain early Aotearoa/New Zealand history inclusive of both Māori and non-Māori viewpoints
3. Identify the iwi of Te Tauihu o te waka a Māui.
