This short online course is an introduction to te reo me ōna tikanga Māori for use within your workplace, homes and out in the community.

By the end of the course you will be able to do these three things:

  1. Prepare and deliver a pakū mihi according to set instructions
  2. Learn and perform a waiata, demonstrating understanding of appropriate associated tikanga according to Te Tauihu o te waka a Maui Iwi
  3. Learn and perform a karakia, demonstrating understanding of appropriate associated tikanga according to Te Tauihu o te waka a Maui Iwi



This short online course is about increasing your understanding and awareness of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and The Treaty of Waitangi within the regional context of Te Tauihu o te waka a Māui (Top of the South Island of New Zealand).
