In this course you will be working as a member of a production team to plan, carry out and present an animated film or real time game animation project, utilising a range of industry-standard strategies, processes, tools and production techniques.

Students are expected to spend time in ākonga-managed activities to complete course requirements and achieve the learning outcomes for the course. Activities may include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Completion of coursework, set assignments/projects
  • Drawing, ideation, project planning
  • Reading, study group work
  • Preparation for classes
  • Research - (e.g. exploration, location and selection of relevant information, review/ evaluation/analysis of information, recording information)
  • Discussions with colleagues/subject matter experts
  • Practising relevant practical and technical skills/methods/techniques
  • Self-evaluation of coursework
  • Gathering relevant contextual information/ issues/ideas to build knowledge of the subject
