- Your tutor! It is easy to overlook the fact that you have a tutor dedicated to helping you through this course. I am here to answer questions, give advice, give feedback and generally be a helpful source of information. Do not be afraid to ask for help - it is what I am here for!
- You can contact me by posting a message in the relevant forum, sending a message using the NMIT Online messaging system (button on my profile page), or by email, phone or text using the Contact details on the left of the homepage. You should expect to hear back from me within 24 hours during the week although this may take a bit longer over the weekend.
- Some other comment about work-place assistance or supervision or assessment visits?
- I will be monitoring your forum entries too and providing private feedback on issues that arise.
- Each of the topic areas contain links to relevant reading material, external websites, references within text books and other resources that will help you to complete the assessment tasks.
- The NMIT Library Learning Centre has a comprehensive web site including suggested web links, research databases and a guide to NMIT learning support services (study skills leaflets, referencing handbook etc). Library services for distance students are outlined here.
Where to get technical help
- You can contact the Flexible Learning Team at nmitonline@nmit.ac.nz, or by phoning 0800 422 733 ext 778. Examples of difficulties include not receiving email or problems with submitting assessments. Usually the Flexible Learning Team can respond within 24 hours.
- If a problem is caused by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or home computer malfunctioning, the Flexible Learning Team regrets that they cannot assist with these problems.
