Frequently Asked Questions
There are a list of common questions, with their answers below.
You may find the answer by clicking on one of the questions below, otherwise you can also seek help using the 'Ask a Question' forum on the Home page.
If it is an 'embedded' video, i.e. it has a picture that you click on, then you should be able to find a direct link below it. Try that.
If it is an external video file, then this can happen if you don't have a media player which will play the type of file you have clicked on. There are a number of free media players around but one that I use is VLC media player. Go to the link below and choose the version for your device.

A great way to capture websites and documents is to 'print' them to PDF. From here you may want to annotate or comment on them.
A free PDF reader which allows you to comment on a PDF file as well as create PDF files is Foxit Reader. It also has a useful help manual as well! It can be downloaded from the following link:

This may be a problem if have multiple Office 365 accounts, e.g. if you work for an organisation using Office 365 and have one or more Office 365 student (or education) accounts as well. If this is you then there is a solution!
- If you are directed to the Office sign in page:
- Click on the 'use another account' option and add your other sign in details
- Don't click the 'Keep me signed in' option
- If you are automatically signed in to the wrong account:
- Sign out again
- this should eventually re-direct you to the Office 365 sign in page (if it doesn't, visit the Office 365 log in page)
- Click on the 'use another account' option to link a new Office 365 account - the key is to not click the 'Keep me signed in' option
- You might like to bookmark the Office 365 log in page so it is easier to get there in the future
- If you are still having problems:
- You can try using your web browser's 'private browsing' or 'incognito' function. Do an internet search on this if you're unsure of how to enable this
- Contact your IT support team

Referencing is possibly one of the most important skills tertiary students require.
While there is a lot of material provided by learning institutions around the format of references, learners are often left wondering if there is an easier way. There are many tools available to help with referencing and two options have been included in this course, Microsoft Word's built-in referencing tools and Zotero.
I am new at referencing: check out the Word section Creating a Report using Word - part 2. This section looks at referencing, but you may like to work through part 1 as well.
I only need to add a few references: check out the Word section Creating a Report using Word - part 2.
I have lots of references: check out the Zotero section.
I have to do lots of researching: check out the Zotero section.
Word isn't enough for my referencing needs any more: check out the Zotero section.
