As part of the wider Learning Design Framework, FLiT are developing a suite of staff-support materials and training opportunities. Eventually, this suite will cover the following:
Digital information literacy - computer skills to manage information and work safely and ethically with online tools
Ed tech tools - skills required to use a range of NMIT and external tools to support learning and teaching
Design for learning - familiarity with the NMIT approach to learning and course design, blended course development and quality assurance processes
Facilitating blended courses - managing and communicating with students, administrative requirements, problem-solving and assessment processes
A series of quick self-assessment quizzes will be provided to enable staff to identify their existing skills and gaps and to plan training priorities.
