Use this form, if you are an NMIT student or staff member and you need to activate your computer account or change current password to login to NMIT services.

Note for staff: The password you set here expires automatically every 90 days for your protection.


Activating your NMIT computer account

  1. Campus-based students can also do this automatically the first time you login on an NMIT computer.
  2. Off campus students - You can activate your account / change your password using this form.
    Your current password is your temporary password explained below.

New password criteria

  1. It must be a minimum of 8 characters with at least one CAPITAL and a number and maximum 16 characters.
  2. It also cannot contain any spaces or 3 consecutive letters from your name.
  3. Certain commonly used and easily guessed words will be rejected, you cannot substitute common characters.
    e.g $ for s, 3 for e
  4. You cannot reuse old passwords.
